Arcadia at Sewanee Updates the Sewanee Community Council

On Monday, May 19, George Elliott, President of Arcadia’s board of trustees, updated Sewanee Community Council members on its early-stage progress toward its objective of establishing a continuing care retirement community in Sewanee.

The presentation, which can be viewed below, included a summary of Arcadia’s history and current developments, followed by preliminary conceptual spatial plans of the site, high-level summary projections, and a summary of next steps.

The development would be located east of the Sewanee Village on 12.5 acres of vacant land between Alabama Avenue and Kennerly Road, immediately north of the proposed University apartment complex.

The presentation also allowed for a question-and-answer session by members of the Council and by members of the Sewanee community in attendance. Please contact Arcadia at Sewanee with any questions or comments.
